I HOPE WHEN PEOPLE SEE THIS PHOTO THEY WILL BE SPURRED TO CLEAN UP POTTER'S CAY DOCK BECAUSE IT WAS FILTHY AND VERY NASTY.  I WANTED TO SHOW THE DIRT AND GRIME OF THIS PLACE AND EMPHASIS IT TO CREATE CHANGE.

NAME: BRIDE TO PARADISE

WHAT I LIKED MOST ABOUT THIS PHOTO IS HOW I SHOT PARADISE ISLAND AND THE BRIDGE AS WELL.  I REALLY WANTED TO GET THE CURVE OF THE BRIDGE WHEN I WAS WALKING DOWN IT AND I ALSO WANTED TO CAPTURE THE BEAUTY OF PARADISE ISLAND.

Keeping up with the news.  The Pope is presently in hot water over sexual abuse allegations.  I've never seen the Pope before and so, this picture finally gives me the chance to see him.

Who needs humans when they've got robots?  When I saw this photo the subject interested me.  In Asia they have robots serving food.  I found that so amazing and I would have never known about it if photography had never been invented.

WEEK TWELVE, DAY 1: Always posing

Why is it that Bahamian photos always consist of people posing in their pictures?  This kind of photography has a great loss of feeling and style.  The Bahamas definitely needs to look at the kinds of photos people take all around the world and learn from them.  Maybe then photojournalism would become more effective in The Bahamas.

PHOTOS AT THE PARADISE ISLAND BRIDGE AND MARINA VILLAGE

So this was our final trip for our class.  First, we went up the Paradise Island Bridge, we roamed around Marina Village and then we went back up and down the bridge.  It was exhausting and the sun was quite hot that day, but it was fun and I really liked the photos I was able to take.  But, I know I still have a lot of work to do when it comes to taking meaningful pictures of people.

WEEK ELEVEN, DAY 5: Light at the end of the tunnel

This picture is filled with darkness but the people walking to the light makes it seem as though things are slowly but surely getting better for the people of Haiti.  This picture looks like people walking through a dark tunnel and going toward the light.

WEEK ELEVEN, DAY 4: Dark Concentration

This picture focuses perfectly on the face of Danny Glover a cast member at the Cannes Film Festival.  There is such concentration on this man's face.  It's obvious that he's in very deep thought and I really like this picture because it makes me think.
