A Moment of Time, A Moment of Truth

"It is my belief that pictures are merely tiny snippets of time that have been frozen by technology. Each picture is a moment that was captured and each moment holds an element of truth."

WEEK FOUR, DAY 5: Shadows and Reflections

Tuesday 9th February 2010

I called this photo 'Shadows and Reflections' because they were the two main elements
that really struck me at first.  They are different in the way that a shadow shows a dull
and drab outline and a reflection shows color and life.  However, they are the same
because light is needed to create them.

WEEK FOUR, DAY 4: Diving for the goal

Monday 8th February 2010

I was never into football until I had to watch the commercials for the Superbowl and when I watched it I found I quite liked it.  It was the Saints vs. The Colts and the Saints won 31-17.  This picture shows a Saints player caught in action.

WEEK FOUR, DAY 3: Babies Having Babies

Friday 5th February 2010

I was so shocked when I heard of an 11 year old girl giving birth to a 5lbs baby.  It's astonishing how young mothers are becoming year after year.  When I look at this baby and I realize just how young the mother truly is I wonder how they both will make it through in life because life isn't easy and life can be cruel.

WEEK FOUR, DAY 2: Without Photojournalism

Thursday 4th February 2010

Without Photojournalism, we’d never know of this big, smelly situation in China. If China was trying to keep its water pollution problem a secret- well, the word is out. China is known as a very secretive and tight-lipped country and so to actually see a photo of how parts of China is suffering shows how important photojournalism truly is.
