WEEK ELEVEN, DAY 4: Dark Concentration

This picture focuses perfectly on the face of Danny Glover a cast member at the Cannes Film Festival.  There is such concentration on this man's face.  It's obvious that he's in very deep thought and I really like this picture because it makes me think.

WEEK ELEVEN, DAY 3: Anywhere but the Bahamas

This is the kind of stuff that you don't ever see in The Bahamas.  This photo makes the observer feel as though they are a part of the action.

WEEK ELEVEN, DAY 2: Change

In this picture I see togetherness between races.  A long time ago people of different places hardly looked or even smiled at each other.  It's obvious that the times have really changed.  This is why photography is so important because now we can see the change between the past and the future.

WEEK ELEVEN, DAY 1: Focus

This picture shows the great concentration and focus these music students have.  The most focus is put on the girl in the front as you can see it's clearer than the girl in the back.

PICTURES AT POTTER'S CAY DOCK

 really didn't like this assignment.  I couldn't find anything interesting to photograph and whatever I did find, I was too irritated by the disgusting men and the rain to find a proper angle to capture the subject.  (Sighs) That's no excuse I know, but still.  It was very uncomfortable and it annoyed me so much I could hardly focus.

Anyway, I looked through my pictures and was happy to discover that I actually liked a few of them.

Photo Name: The Tethered Connection

Yes so this is my favorite picture that I took.  The tethered rope in this picture was my focus because it shows a connection between the sea and the land.  The details of the rope is very clear on the far right corner of the picture and then the length of the rope is shown using the depth of field.

Photo Name: In Control

This picture just shouted 'Control' when I looked at it closely.  I was actually inside of a boat/ship when I took this picture.  I have no idea what the black ball thing is in the center but when I took the shot it reminded me of some kind of control panel.  Also, the picture makes the viewer look as if he/she is in control of the world laid out before him/her.

WEEK TEN, DAY 5: Bahamian Agriculture

Yet again, there isn't much to say about this picture.  It's really not interesting at all.  It showcases the produce and the Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources the Hon. Lawrence Cartwright.

WEEK TEN, DAY 3: Crime Scene

Another important reason for photography is that without it, people wouldn't have as much knowledge about a particular crime.  The first picture shows beneath the Oakwood train station where a 10-year-old girl's body was found.  The second picture gives even more information by showing the train tracks and the arches where the girl was found.  The pictures are amazing in terms of composition.  Each part of the picture tells a certain part of the crime scene story.

There's something about this picture I really like.  I don't exactly know if it's the fact that this is a black and white photo or if it's the simplicity of this shot.  Maybe it's both because they bring a certain historical feel to this picture.

WEEK TEN, DAY 1: Composition of a Severely Damaged Building

This picture was taken at a wonderful angle.  It shows the devastation and damage of a bomb that struck the area of Iraq in 2003.  There isn't a lot of light coming into the building and that lack of light gives the picture a very mysterious feel.  The composition of the picture is also amazing as it shows many particular aspects of the building such as the crumbling steps and the support beams that still manage to hold up the severely damaged building.
